Event Recap: Tree Canopy Effects on Health

A Talk by Geoffrey Donovan

On Saturday, October 28th, Thrive East PDX and Trees for Life Oregon sat down for a great talk about our urban tree canopy and its effects on human health with Geoffrey Donovan.

Dr. Donovan has worked extensively in the USDA Forest Service studying the relationship between healthy urban tree canopies and, not only their impact on public health, but the substantial economic benefits of planting and maintaining urban trees.

If you missed our talk, the Planning Commission podcast had him on earlier this year for a similar discussion.

And don’t forget to check out Thrive’s own report on the importance of our urban canopies.
